Be part of the Weasel House at the 2010 Olympics
A message from Whistler Weasel Workers President:
Fellow Weasels. Our home Weasel House is being erected as I write this note. It will be a wonderful place to meet and enjoy a refreshment after a long day on the track. The Weasel House is located on Alpha Lake just a short walk from the Creekside Alpine Venue.
We will have HD TV's, WI-FI, delicious refreshments, and lots of stories and experiences to share.
Two months ago I let everyone know that we needed to raise an additional $225,000 to fully fund the tent. Today our requirements have been reduced to $100,000. Obviously some work still needs to be done but we have reached several milestones because of the generous support of our volunteer group and sponsors . We need to sell all of the remaining Weasel Wear jackets and coats and get a few more keg sponsorships to reach this goal. Please support the Weasel House by purchasing a garment or sponsoring a keg. All garments will be available for sizing, purchasing and pick up in the Weasel House.
If your preference is wine not beer, I'm pleased to announce that we will be enjoying some very nice wine from Hester Creek winery from Southern Okanagan's prestigious "Golden Mile". Why not sponsor a case of wine. Same program, same price as a keg, - $197 to sponsor a case.
In the last three weeks we have had TECK Resourses, Shaw Communications, and Goldcorp all step forward to became principal sponsors of Weasel House. The Vancouver Resource Centre of Great West Life, Borden Ladner Gervias, Black Press, and the North Shore Credit Union have also made generous sponsorship donations. Their support is critical to our success, but the last mile will be up to all of us.
The official opening of the Weasel House is scheduled for February 5th. Our hours of operation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm each day.
Don't forget to bring your skis, boots, camera and cheque books.
Thanks everyone for your generous support.
See you all soon in Whistler.
