Make sure you sign the Clubs Olympic banner
As previously announced, the club has made up some banners supporting our club's champions for the games. There are fan club for alpine athtletes for the grand stands which can still be purchased until tomorrow (click here). There is also will be a huge 18' banner going up on the club cabin with a big "shout out" for Robbie, Britt, Manny, Mike, Julia and Ashleigh.
ALSO we have a special Club Olympic banner going into the Firerock Lounge, the home of the Canadian Alpine team for the Olympics. We also have 2 dozen personalized cards to go to each member of the Alpine Team which need to be signed by everyone. With enough signatures these items will be one more source of inspiration for our Alpine Olympians. With too few signatures we will be embarrassed and we still have quite a way to go to make sure this does not happen. We already have the most K2 signatures.
All members and the K1 and parents, can get their signatures on this special banner. Please join us at 2:30 this Saturday, Feb 6 in the coffee shop in the Blackcomb Day Lodge beside Merlins. Cheryl Green and Dennis Perry will be there to coordinate the signings.
