2010/2011 FIS Program

WMSC’s FIS program has for long been one of the most successful teams in British Columbia with a proud tradition of helping athletes ages 15 and up achieve their ski racing goals. Each year WMSC FIS athletes are typically selected for BC Alpine special projects and qualify for the BC Ski Team. Yet it is the programs primary focus to work with all athletes in the program who wish to pursue the ski racing education and experience whether they go on to the BC Ski Team, National Team, University Racing or just great all mountain skiers.

Club Fees (FIS) due on Oct 1/10 - $706.00

Includes:
• WMSC Membership (per family) $100
• BC Alpine Parent Membership(per family) $56
• BC Alpine GMC Raffle $50 (cost can be recovered)
• Team fee (per racer) $500

NOTE: FIS card fees of $420 are due the end of May and paid separately. Late fees apply.

All WMSC programs can be added to as a "pay as you go" basis. Participation in competitions not included in a specific program can added provided the head coach is given a minimum of two week notice.

Extended and Extended PLUS Canadian FIS racers are elgibale for a Canada West All Area Pass (contact head coach for details).  For the Core porgram, being a registered member of WMSC for the current season also allows you access to special Sea to Sky Student Pass pricing. click here for details.

FIS Core - Program Fee $2,300.00 
This program is designed to meet the needs of the development level FIS athletes who can only to commit to a select number of events in the FIS program. Please contact the head coach to discuss your personal program and additional costs beyond weekend and Christmas training.

Installment Due Dates:
• Installment #1 $1150 payable October 1, 2010
• Installment #2 $1150 payable December 1, 2010

Includes:
• Coaching at Whistler (weekends from Sat. Nov. 27 to Sun. April 24, 2011)
• Christmas camp at Whistler (Dec. 20-23, 27-30, 2010) 

Does not include:
• Season Pass
• Fall / Winter Dryland
• Races & all associated travel & accommodation expenses
• Summer or Fall Camps
• FIS Card
• Meals on days while enroute to destination 
* Extra Training/Travel/Race Days outside of Weekends/Xmas

FIS Extended - Program Fee $15,100.00
The FIS extended is for the high level FIS athlete with goals of skiing to their highest potential, short and long term. There is a greater demand in training and travel for high level racing with BC / AB Cup, and Pontiac GMC Cup targeted as major events.

Installment Due Dates:
• Installment #1 $5033.33 payable October 1,2010
• Installment #2 $5033.33 payable November 1, 2010
• Installment #3 $5033.33 payable December  1, 2010

Includes:
• Coaching at Whistler (weekends from Sat. Nov. 27 to Sun. April 24, 2011)
• Christmas camp at Whistler (Dec. 27-30, 2010)
• Extra Training / Race Coaching Days - 50 weekdays *
• CWSAA All Area Pass
• Fall / Winter Dryland (Tracking/Testing/Training)
• Ground transportation, lodging, meals, race coaching and entry to:
  • Fall Camp - Colorado**
  • FIS Tech Series - Pano/Nakiska, Dec
  • FIS Tech Series - Lake Louise, Jan
  • FIS Speed Series - Apex - Jan.
  • FIS Tech Series - Rossland, Feb
  • FIS Tech Series - Nakiska, Mar

FIS Extended PLUS - Program Fee $22,800.00 
The FIS extended PLUS is for the higher level FIS athlete with goals of skiing to their highest potential, short and long term. There is a greater demand in training and travel for high level racing with Nor-am, and National Championships targeted as major events.

• Installment #1 $5700 payable October 1,2010
• Installment #2 $5700 payable November 1, 2010
• Installment #3 $5700 payable December 1, 2010
• Installment #4 $5700 payable December 31, 2010

Includes:
• Coaching at Whistler (weekends from Sat. Nov. 27 to Sun. April 24, 2011)
• Christmas camp at Whistler (Dec. 27-30, 2010)
• Extra Training / Race Coaching Days - 75 weekdays
• CWSAA All Area Pass
• Fall / Winter Dryland (Tracking/Testing/Training)
