As the newest Olympic sport, Ski Cross now has a BC program. The Canadian National Ski Cross Team has had great success, with Olympic GOLD at the 2010 Games by Ashleigh McIver. The BC program is run through the WMSC and designed for those member athletes who wish to pursue this exhilarating form of ski racing. Courses are patterned after Moto Cross with banked corners, and a variety of terrain features to challenge and excite any competitor. Skiing with 3 other competitors on the track adds a whole new dimension to racing. Skills to be mastered include starts, jumps and a carving skis for maximum speed. The Program will include races and/or camps at various locations in BC and abroad that will engage and challenge all prospective competitors. Join the new school of ski racing – Skier X.

• Team fee (per racer) $500
• Club Family Membership $100
• BC Alpine GMC Raffle $50 (cost can be recovered)

To register for this program with the WMSC, please create an account and log-in to our club’s registration page. Note that both club fees and program fee are required for participation.
All WMSC programs can be added to as a "pay as you go" basis. Participation in competitions not included in a specific program can added provided the head coach is given a minimum of two week notice.
Extended Canadian Ski X FIS racers are elgibale for a Canada West All Area Pass (contact head coach for details). Being a registered member of WMSC for the current season also allows you access to special Sea to Sky Student Pass pricing. click here for details.

Ski Cross Core - Program Fee $2,300.00
Installment Due Dates:
• Installment #1 $1150 payable October 1 ,2010
• Installment #2 $1150 payable December 1, 2010
Includes:
• Coaching at Whistler (weekends from Sat. Nov. 27 to Sun. April 24, 2011)
• Christmas camp at Whistler (Dec. 20-23, 27-30, 2010)
Does not include:
• Season's Pass
• Races (including Whistler Cup) & associated travel & accommodation expenses
• Fall Camps
• Fall / Winter Dryland
* Extra Training/Travel/Race Days outside of Weekends/Xmas
Ski Cross Extended - Program Fee $5,500.00
