K2 Program

K2 Head Coach: Jeff MacLennan

Assistant Coaches: Christine Kohls, Hal Gunby, Ken Doraty, Daniel Clarke, Jack Evans

K2 Schedule

The K2 program is designed for 13-15 year old athletes and is similar to the K1 programs, K2s compete in their own series ending with the CanAm Western championships in addition to the Provincial Championships Series. Training is primarily on weekends and holidays from early December til mid April with extended training opportunities on Thursdays and Fridays. K2 athletes have a few more racing and selection camp opportunities than K1 but racing is primarily during the weekends. Overall, K2 athletes are focused on racing and training as they prepare for FIS competition. Dryland is scheduled in the fall in both Vancouver and Whistler with some dryland camps throughout the summer.
