Men's & Ladies Day

Good times had by all was the consensus from the skiers at this years Men’s Day that Jeff Hume organized. We were lucky to have Jeff Hume, Ryan Oughtred, Jordan Williams, Drew Hetherington, Nigel Loring and Jamie Finlayson coaching the 23 skiers and we were all able to pick up a few tricks of the trade so to speak. We even learned that the Harmony Bowl is a “Micro-Zone”…thanks weatherman Hetherington.
After our day on the slopes Jeff had organized a great afternoon back at the club. With a hunger and a thirst we were served cold Whistler Brew and warm pulled pork sandwiches…they were delicious.
The day would not be complete without spending a bit more money for a good cause. We would like to thank Mike and Lisa Hudson for generously donating two tickets to a Canucks vs. Leafs game in their private box. The lucky buyer was Spencer Hoopes and we are sure that he will thoroughly enjoy this experience. We would also like to thank the folks at Retallack for donating a cat skiing trip for 2 that was won by Pat Olekshy…Pat we are sure that you will find some lucky skier to take on this adventure.
Jeff has a mission to double the amount of skiers for next year so make sure you plug it in to your calendar.
Finally a “BIG” thank you goes out to Lynne Hume, Bunny Hume, Christiane Loring, Carolyn Parry, Libby Parry, Amanda Shaw, Barb Mathews and Anastasia Skryabina. The food that you created was delicious.
