Whistler Ski Club is again supporting the Whistler Ironman. In return for our support and running 2 aid stations, Ironman Canada grants funds back to the ski club – so this is a club fundraiser and we need your help to purchase fitness training equipment for our athletes.
We are operating a two-way aid station (Run Aid Stations #6 & #7). Our station is located at the Green Lake Lookout on the side of HWY 99 across from the Rainbow Subdivision. (same position as last year). It is busy as the runners go by us 4 times. (in-bound and out-bound x 2).
Please sign up you and your family members for a shift! FIS and U16 athletes especially are encouraged to help out – this is an opportunity to give back, support other athletes and to participate in fundraising for the club. Younger athletes are also welcome as long as parents are coming as well. This is a great time to teach our kids what it takes to support athletics.
IMPORTANT!!! Even if you can only do a couple of hours of work – sign up for a shift on-line DESPITE the length of the shift of time listed. Then email me directly to let me know when you can come. If you can work anywhere between 3 – 6 hours any time between 2:30 and 9:00 pm that would be a great help as this is the busiest time at the station!!!
