MAY CAMPS RECAP:
Whether wrapping up last season or the start of next, the May camps were nothing short of outstanding! Good numbers of athletes, lots of volume on firm morning snow and ski reps on hand for the final camp with demos for the athletes to test new gear.
Having some high-end demonstrations and feedback from Dominic Unterberger really made a difference! Dom would run first, set the line and everyone would do their best to ski the same line. It took a few runs for most to understand the ‘patience’ and ‘shape’ required to ski that line, but when they did… wow! It brought big smiles to coaches and athletes alike! Thanks Dom!!
And big thank you to all who attended – coaches, athletes and parents! You had excellent focus, made impressive technical improvements and progression and have taken a big step towards making next season stellar. Bravo!!
WHISTLER TBAR CAMPS:
The Speed Camps are in jeopardy!! We need some more athletes to commit to some or all days to make the camps viable. We will encourage a 2 day minimum, but the more the better…
Without taking away from we have planned for the older athletes (starts, gliding, tucking, jumps and terrain elements), we have adapted plans to accommodate as young as 2005’s. Everyone who attends will have a skill level-appropriate program that will provide safe yet challenging skill progression.
A reminder that speed skills, once acquired will enhance technical skills and confidence as well. Please feel free to contact Rob email@example.com for more information or if you have any questions. More info posted on Sportlyzer.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS HOMESTAY SEARCH
We have had a number of keen international ski racers who would like to spend a season or two in Whistler, partly to pursue their ski racing aspirations, but also to improve their English and experience Canadian culture.
However, all host families in Whistler have been filled, which has limited the students that can come. If you, or anyone you know has any interest in hosting an international student/ski racer for the school year the standard rate is now $1200/month.
For more information on this please contact Jody Nelson at JNelson@sd48.bc.ca and mention this would be for a WMSC student…
Enjoy the warm weather and we look forward to catching up with you all soon.
