TRAIN TO RACE/WIN – WMSC’s FIS program has been one of the more successful teams in BC with a proud tradition of developing athletes ages 16 and up. Each year some of our FIS athletes are typically selected for BC Alpine special projects and qualify for the BC Ski Team.The FIS program works with all athletes wishing to pursue ski racing education, whether they go on to the BC Team, National Team, University Racing or just great all mountain skiers. The crew of high end, professional coaches embody much of CSCF’s Aim2Win documents’ planning and development guidelines.The programs process orientated focus and commitment to creating athletic, proficient skiers with refined technical, mental and physical skills upholds their “Leaders of BC” and “Hard Core” culture. – Email Conrad Pridy – Head Coach
AGES: This program is available for children born in 2002 and older.

FIS LICENSE APPLICATION – Available mid-May
Program fees do not include the cost of a lift pass.
FIS and U18 aged athletes may be eligible to purchase a CWSAA All Area Pass. Application for this pass program is for registered FIS athletes who have registered with the club by August 1. Applying for this pass does not necessarily mean that an individual will qualify as there are a limited number of these types of passes available each year.
All youth aged athletes are eligible for a “Sea to Sky” Pass from Whistler Blackcomb. Application for this pass is directly through Whistler Blackcomb’s pass sales office and to be eligible, athletes must be registered in a WMSC competitive program at time of purchase. Please note that WMSC must confirm applicants status with WB and does so once a week starting Oct. 1 with an update of our athlete list to their pass sales department.
CLUB UNIFORMS We encourage all athletes to wear the WMSC club uniform. Pre-orders are done in early March – extra’s are ordered so email firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list. Used ones can also be found on the club website buy and sell: https://wmsc.info/buysell/ , or at the used swap on Thanksgiving Monday at the ski club cabin.
HEALTH INSURANCE All Canadian registered FIS athletes have ACA SAIP Insurance included. This insurance is in addition to your provincial heathcare coverage which you are also required to maintain. All Foreign racers must have their own Accident and Medical Coverage that must include mountain rescue and return to home country, and supply WMSC with a copy of the policy.
FIS Core program: $3520. (coaching on weekends and Xmas Camp)
FIS Extended program: $6300. (coaching Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun and Xmas Camp)
Foreign racer surcharge fee is $2000 – contact WMSC for more info FIS Registration costs are NOT included in program fees – Canadian citizens registration will open in Mid-May. All others must register through their National Sports Organization.
Registration – OPENS MAY 1
Registration deadline is August 31st – late registration fee is $125.00 Balance of program fees due Oct. 31st Refund Policy: The $500 program deposit is 100% refundable prior to first on-snow day. After the 1st on-snow day the program fee including deposit (paid to WMSC) is refundable on a prorate basis from the date of injury or withdrawal from the program. Days missed prior to this date for other reasons are non-refundable.
Races are not included in any programs and can be purchased when the trip sheets are posted.
* Additional race training will be available for racers at $72 a day – subject to availability The program starts December 1 and ends mid-April. Program fees includes coaching and support services, winter fitness training and online video services annual subscription (Dartfish TV). Program fees do not include any lift access, equipment, clothing, camp or race related expenses.
