Nancy Greene SL Spring Skills Festival
May 2-4 @ Whistler, BC | U10 and U12
Named after one of Canada's most prolific ski racers, Nancy Greene, this SL camp serves to further develop the skills required to push young athletes to their boundaries. As shorter, technical turns are synonymous with SL events, this camp will focus primarily on softer skills such as good body form and proper line choice, as well as building on the fundamentals through gate training and targeted drills. We believe that this camp will help bring out in its participants the "go for it" attitude that Nancy was well-known for, and will help these young skiers to show off their talent and determination on the slopes.
This event will run at our Blackcomb Race Center, and is open to athletes belonging to a U10 and U12 Program.
Price: $275.00
Spring GS/SL Camps
May 8-11 and May 15-18 @ Whistler, BC | U14, U16 and FIS
New this year, we will be combining our Slalom and GS camps this year, while offering 2 sessions. The focus for this camp will be on developing our racers in both Slalom and GS-style environments, focusing on ski techniques for both disciplines, such as taking longer turns at higher speeds in GS as well as shorter, more nimble turns in SL. We will also be focusing on soft skills like body positioning and line choice amongst others things. We have access to ideal race training terrain at the Blackcomb Race Center, along with our excellent team of coaches to set a variety of drills, tactical and full length courses.
This event will run at our Blackcomb Race Center, and is open to athletes from a U14, U16 and FIS Program. We recommend that athletes participate in both sessions to get the most out of the May camps.
Do note that you cannot enroll in just one discipline this summer, the camps will focus on both GS and SL.
Price: $400.00
