Land Acknowledgement

The Whistler Mountain Ski Club acknowledges that we operate on the shared and unceded territory of the Skwxu7mesh Úxumixw (Squamish) nation and L̓il̓wat7úl (Lil’wat) nation. We are grateful to enjoy skiing, training, and racing on these lands and aim to honour the cultures of these two nations.  Whistler Mountain is known originally by them respectively as Sk̲wik̲w (by the Squamish nation) and Cwítima/Kacwítima (by the Lil’wat nation). Whistler Mountain Ski Club also acknowledges that we travel, stay, train, and compete in the territories of other Nations, and wish to respectfully acknowledge the lands of Canada’s indigenous peoples.
