Upon completing his MBA at UBC in 1989, Stan vowed he would one day return to the mountains. It took this ‘rope tow trained’ Western and UBC grad 20 years to return, following investment banking and corporate development postings in Toronto, London, NYC, and CT. A fixture ‘on course’ since 2010, Stan has been actively involved with volunteer training and, most recently, the Club coaches’ cabin rezoning initiative. Wife Lynda, older daughter Kat (a senior at Western), and Gigi (a FIS racer at Boston College) have all been active club volleys, making WMSC a family affair. Stan relishes the opportunity to serve the Board and is an avid proponent of the values the Club stewards in its young adult racers. “The lasting friendships are a bonus!”
